The September 2021 period saw a drop in the Australian share market. Although there was a dip I am still a little hesitant to invest more given the current dropping of prices. There are also small contributions to other assets such as cryptocurrency that are providing returns. Trialling some new cryptocurrency exchanges has meant that I could see which perform better and those that need to be left untouched. I have compiled a list of the Top 10 crypto exchanges to get started investing in cryptocurrency.
There were minimal contributions to the portfolio since August 2021. I was paid a nice dividend from my BHP shares. The ETF balance is held within my Pearler Account slightly increased thanks to my continued investment in NDQ. This month, I focused on learning about different areas within a business. Firstly, I explored the world of e-commerce, FBT and Sales drivers. I opened up an account with Zipmex Australia to test their features. Finally, I uncovered some shopping partner brands with the Upstreet Review.
Goals September 2021
Given the shortage of cash this month thanks to study and lack of work I did not achieve my target investment amount. The same target for the Super Hero account is to reach $18,000 by the end of October. I would also aim to achieve an investment balance of $4,000 within the Pearler account and a total investment amount of $1,000 for the month of October.
Superhero Account
The Super Hero portfolio had a slight increase in the previous month due to the spike in the CXO share price. I used the distribution paid from the BHP shares to increase my emergency fund buffer. I would like to invest some more into the US stocks on the Super Hero platform. Given the exposure to the Australian market, I need to grow the share portfolio outside of just the shares listed on the ASX.
Pearler ETFs
Firstly, I continued the US theme of investing in NDQ ETF’s. Secondly, I would like to purchase some more ETFs in international markets potentially increase the holdings of VGS once transferred from the Super Hero account. Thirdly, I would like to reach the 4% mark of my target goal to reach a portfolio value of $100,000 in 5 years. There is an opportunity to invest in the Pearler EFTs during the month of October.
Cryptocurrency – Coinbase

Looking Ahead
Next month, I will aim to invest some more into cryptocurrency having watched the dip in the market. For ETFs, I would like to reach the 4% mark. Super Hero I’m aiming to get to the $18,000 mark. To achieve these goals will need to continue to make small investments into the different portfolios. However, I would like to continue to build the investment portfolios and reach the monthly goals.
